About the project
A Small Game About Perfect Balance
Symmetry 16 turns a classic word-square idea into a short browser puzzle: 16 shuffled letters, four matching row-and-column words, 15 swaps, and 90 seconds.
Why it exists
Made to play, not to get in the way
Game first
The playable grid is the main experience. There is no account wall, download, or long setup before the first move.
Built for touch and mouse
Every move uses the same simple action: select one tile and then another. The layout adapts to phones, tablets, and desktop screens.
Original implementation
The interface, game logic, puzzle collection, and wording were created for Symmetry 16. The site does not copy another game’s code or visual assets.
Privacy kept small
Game progress stays in local browser storage. Anonymous event counts help find basic problems without using tracking cookies or personal profiles.
Two ways to play
Daily focus, unlimited practice
- 01
Daily puzzle
Everyone receives the same dated arrangement, so a result can be compared or shared.
- 02
Practice puzzles
Start a fresh grid whenever you want another round. Practice results still count in your local stats.
- 03
Local progress
Played, won, and best-swap figures are saved only on the current device and browser.
